Ladies' Market - Mornings

Early in the morning the stall holders first start to prepare their stalls. Each stall has been packed away complete for the night and the frame and canvas sheets have first to be erected. Here we see the structures of the stalls completed with the first products for sale being put out.

Before all of the produces are hung up for display the red, white and blue canvas is much more noticeable. Although not every stall on Ladies' Market uses it many do as it is almost a tradition, in fact some modern designers of trendy Hong Kong Products such as the "Goods Of Desire" interior décor company have taken this canvas fabric, also often used in large carry bags, as a type of Hong Kong motif!

Visit later than early morning and you won't notice it as much, but do look up and see a little as this really is part of Hong Kong life.
