It is busier later in the day at the Ladies Market

The street becomes busier later in the day and as most of the width of the road is taken up by the stalls the centre passage for walking becomes quite narrow.  However it always stays wide enough for emergency vehicles such as fire engines to go past, and this is tested regularly, as in the past fires in the street have caused much damage and all stall holders are keen to ensure this does not happen again.

The stalls often offer a mixed range of different items, here you see a stall with giant soft toys as well as t-shirts for children.
